Ved Shankar

Ved Shankar is a music director who predominantly composes music for Tamil movies. But then this music director began his career as a student of A.R. Rahman. He was chosen by the veteran Rahman as a promising student in KM Music Conservatory.

Ved Shankar was then an ultimate choice to get selected and impart training in Western Classical music in North Eastern University, Boston. Later, he found his interest as a sound engineer. Ved Shankar gave sound instruments a new lease. Be it the flute, folk, acoustic guitars, bass, his talent was magical.

Soon he shifted his attention towards Tamil cinema and was seen getting associated with many Tamil movies. In the year 2017, a list of four movies are in the pipeline and Ved Prakash Bio coming soon... >> Read More... is the most promising music composer in Kollywood.

He got his first break in 'Paalai', and then we saw the release of his second film, 'NKPK', and 'Madhubbana Kadai'. He continued to play music for select movies and he will be seen in many more movies in the future. But Ved Shahkar is yet to come out with some hits although his songs are peppy numbers and have a lot of folk tunes too which can be critically appreciated. But then he has to make music like his master A R Rahman has done.
