Varsha Ashwathi is a Tamil model and film actress. She was born on April 22, 1989, in Kolkata, India to Rakesh Awasthi, a Marine Engineer. She and her family shifted to Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu when she was just four years old.
Varsha studied at Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai. She took a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management before she joined the beauty pageant called Ms. Chennai, where she won the Ms. Beautiful Smile and Ms. Beautiful Face awards. From there, someone saw her photo and offered her for a role in the Tamil action adventure film, ‘Peranmai’ in 2009. Since then, there was no looking back. Varsha never thought of becoming an actress since she doesn’t have any acting background and no one in her family came from the showbiz industry.
After three years, she was cast as a police officer in Seenu Ramasamy’s ‘
Neerparavai’, along with
Vishnu Vishal and ‘
Sunaina’. In 2013, she acted in the political satire film, ‘Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA’, with ‘
Sathyaraj’ in the lead role. She played as Vinay Rai’s wife in the box office hit film, ‘
Endrendrum Punnagai’. Varsha played a pivotal role in the Tamil thriller films, ‘Panivizhum Malarvanam’ and ‘

The beautiful and charming actress, Varsha Ashwathi, was born on 22nd April in the year of 1989.
