S N Lakshmi

S N Lakshmi is a late Tamil actress who appeared in films and television serials. She died in February 2012 at the age of 85. She has acted in more than 1500 films and thousands of plays. She was born into a Thevar household as the 13th child of the family, but her childhood was not beautiful, and she left her home when she was 11. Her neighbor who was a popular dancer got her into drama troupe. She then by chance landed at Madras, where she was showed the way to Gemini Studios, which helped her. She then played roles in dramas of veterans like N. S. Krishnan, K. Balachander, etc.
