Ramya Raj also known as Ragini is an Indian model and film actress, who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. She was born as Ramya Rajendran in Malaysia. She is related to actress-producer, Kushboo. Her elder sister is Kushboo’s sister-in-law and Sundar C (Kushboo’s husband), was Ramya’s partner in Sakthi Chidambaram’s Tamil film entitled Sandai, in which Ramya debuted as an actress in 2008.
In 2009, she starred in another Sundar C-starrer entitled Thee. This film is the Tamil remake of the 2007 Telugu film, Operation Duryodhana. Ramya played a pivotal role in the Tamil thriller film Naanayam, alongside Prasanna and Sibiraj in the lead roles in the year 2010.
