According to Rameez’s Facebook profile data, he is fluent in three languages: Tamil, English, and French. He got engaged to Jenifer Jaffar on 10th February 2014 and they got married on 25th May in the same year. After he had finished his education, he involved himself in dramas and plays before landing a role in Darling 2, which is the official sequel to the 2015 film Darling. Rameez made his Kollywood debut in Darling 2 which included Kalaiyarasan, Maya, and
Kaali Venkat as well.
Rameez Raja played two characters in his first project: Ram and Krishna in this horror-comedy flick. Movie buffs would glad to know that the team shot some scenes in the same bungalow which also featured in MG Ramachandran’s
Anbe Vaa. Darling 2 released in April 2016 amid huge expectations. But, the second installment could not live up to its potential. Columnists slammed the sequel for its unattractive and bland acting. They also noted that the motion picture did not offer much like a horror movie. However, Tamil entertainment magazines pointed out Rameez as one of the “brightest” performers to look out in the state.
Darling 2 had a mediocre period in the cinema halls. With his experience in short films, Rameez contacted Sathish Chandrasekharan courtesy his buddy
Billa Jagan who works as a stunt master in the industry. He relished working in his first venture and cited that the veteran artists were gentle and gave some useful tips to the actor. Rameez also thanked KE Gnanavel Raja for promoting talented youngsters in Kollywood. Later, he signed for Vijay Balaji’s comic caper “
Vidhi Madhi Ultaa.” It also marked the return of Janini Iyer as the lead actress. In a tabloid conversation, Rameez revealed that he would play a middle-class boy who would protect his loved ones from a thug in VMU.
Apparently, he has received an offer for the Mollywood flick Signal. Apart from his busy life as an actor, he has always found out time for philanthropic activities. In 2012, Rameez celebrated his birthday by spending time with the underprivileged children in Anubkarangal, Chennai. During the 2015 Chennai floods, he distributed blankets and food items to the needy ones in the affected areas of the city. Although he shares his name with a former Pakistani cricketer and commentator, Rameez has his sights on Kollywood.
