Shanker Indra is an Indian editor and director of photography, working predominantly in the Tamil film industry. He made his debut as the DOP and editor in the film, Jhangri (2017), directed by KabilanPlondran. This Malaysian Tamil-language romantic comedy stars VicranElanggovan and AgalyahManiam in the lead roles. Directed & written by KarthikShamalan, this thriller gives us a dark twist to the children’s tale of Red Riding Hood. It even got nominated and won awards at the Malaysian Film Festival 2019. Both films performed well commercially. He is credited as the editor for the Malaysian-Tamil horror flick, Ghora (2018), directed by DevendhranArunasalam. Besides movies, he is also known to have edited several music videos such as YennuleNeeye by DheneshSelvanathan and Venthamarai by C Chord ft. Mr. Ant.
