Vijay Boothalingam is an Indian writer and director, popular amongst the audience for his work in movies like The Traveller (2010), Saala Khadoos (2016). Mostly known for his predominant involvement in Kollywood movies and Tamil TV shows, he has often been praised for making message-oriented critically acclaimed movies which certainly leaves a deep message for the viewers.

In 2010, Vijay came up with his first notable contribution on the silver screen as a writer with the short drama film The Traveller, which was directed and written by him, starring Adam Allsop, Sid Bose, and Siddharth Bose. Six years later, he worked alongside the renowned Sudha Kongara for Saala Khadoos, starring Madhavan.
