Seenu Ramaswamy better known as Seen in the Tamil Film Industry is a talented actor of Indian Film Industry. He comes from the camp of famous cinematographer as well as director of Tamil film industry Balu Mahendra. The actor entered into Tamil Industry with the movie Koodal Nagar which starred popular actor Bharat as a lead actor; Bhavana and pretty Sandhya was also seen in the movie. He marked his second movie as Thenmerku Paruvakaatru.

This movie got high acclaims and won as many as three National awards. Other than these two he has also worked in Neerparavai, which had a great casts like Vishnu, Sunaina, and Nandita Das. His upcoming movies are Idam Porul Yaeval and Dharma Durai. Both the movies are in their pre-production stage.

Atlee Kumar is a movie director and screenwriter from India, focusing mainly on Tamil feature films. He is a graduate of Sathyabama University and holds a degree in Visual Communication. He started off his media career by making short films, one of the most notable being Mugaputhagam with Sivakarthikeyan of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam fame. He then became an assistant director to director Shankar, assisting him during the production of Enthiran and Nanban. It is to be noted that Nanban is a remake of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. Born in Madurai and raised in Chennai, Atlee cites the Mani Ratnam film Thalapathi as his inspiration to enter the cine field. Atlee’s maiden directorial venture was the movie Raja Rani, a love story featuring the ensemble cast of Arya, Nayantara, Nazriya, Jai, and Sathyaraj. The film bagged positive reviews and turned out to be a commercial success, earning around 500 million within four weeks. Atlee won several awards for Raja Rani, including the Vijay Award for Best Debut Director. Atlee got married to Krishna Priya on November 9, 2014. Krishna Priya is a Tamil soap and movie actress, and featured in the Star Vijay soap ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’ and the movie ‘Singam’. They had known and worked with each other for eight years before tying the knot. Atlee’s next directorial venture is Theri with Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson, which is currently in post-production. The movie is set to have a theatrical release planned for April 14th, 2016.

Vetrimaaran

Vetrimaaran is an Indian director and screenwriter in Tamil Film Industry. Born in Cuddalore, Vetrimaaran is from Ranipet, Vellore District, Tamilnadu. He was born to Dr. V. Chitravel who was a veterinary scientist and Megala Chitravel who was a well known Novelist. Vetrimaaran studied till his tenth grade in Ranipet. Later in 1994 he moved to Chennai to pursue English Literature from Loyola College. Vetrimaaran discontinued his Master's degree and showed interest in making a career in the film industry. The Loyola department of visual communications offered him an elective course known as Television presentation. As Vetrimaaran completed this course, he started developing an interest in filmmaking. Vetrimaaran started his career as an assistant director to Balu Mahendra for Kadai Neram for Sun TV. After Kadai Neram, he worked for the film Kadhal Virus with Kadhir for two years along with that he was also managing as an assistant director for Balu Mahendra Mahindra in Julie Ganapathy and then Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam. During that time Vetrimaaran came up with a script thinking of Dhanush as the main lead as Dhanush used to be the lead hero in the films he acted. After hearing the story, Dhanush agreed to work for the project. Initially, The film was titled as Desiya Nedunchalai 47 with the music director as Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer as Ekambaram. Vetrimaaran found trouble finding producers as the people who were initially interested walked away. Later Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja agreed to produce the film with Kasthuri Raja as heroine and Harris Jayaraj as music director. But things didn’t work well, and the shooting of the film was discontinued. Vetrimaaran approached producer Kadiresan after the fall of his film. He showed up the stories prepared by him to the producer. The producer accepted to work on the project named Polladhavan and rejecting like Desiya Nedunchaalai 47. Vetrimaaran’s directorial debut Polladhavan is based on the story of a youngster and his bike. The story of the film was inspired by his friend Andrew who lost his bike and the different experiences he got while searching out for his vehicle. Later in 2009, Vetrimaaran worked with Dhanush for Aadukalam. Vetrimaaran took quite a long time to make up the project but then the time taken was worth. The film gained five National Film Awards, and Vetrimaaran received two awards for Best Screenplay and Best Direction. The Grass Root Film Company is Vetrimaaran’s own production house launched in 2012. Vetrimaaran’s latest directorial venture is based on the tale of mafia wars of north Chennai with the title Vada Chennai.
