Bonda Mani, is one among the popular comedians in Tamil cinema. His real name is ‘Kedeeshwaran’. He changed his name to ‘Bonda Mani’ for the stage performance. He is a Sri Lankan based person. During his schooling, he has acted in various dramas.With huge support and inspiration from his friends, he started looking out for chances in feature films. Inspite of his great efforts to act in Tamil Movies in Sri Lanka, he did not succeed. Later on, he went to Singapore for work. During 1981, when the Tamil actors’ troupe visited Singapore, for a cultural program, Bonda Mani got a chance to meet them. He was introduced to director ‘K. Bhagyaraj’ then . He explained his passion for acting and also told him about the efforts that he took to get through the industry. Later he visited India as he had some personal commitments, fortunately he got a chance to meet Bhagyaraj’ . As Lady Luck was on his side, Bhagyaraj’ recognized him well and gave a chance in his upcoming project, ‘Pavunnu Pavunu Thaan’. After a small break, he acted in ‘Thendral Varum Theru’ in a full comedy pack. That happened to be a great turning point in his life. Needless to say, oppurtunities kept knocking his door often! He is married to Madhavi and has two kids Sai Kumari and Sai Ram. Bonda Mani is at present running a stage drama troupe called ‘Sai Kalai Koodam’ and organizing many theatrical shows.

Muthu Kaalai is a Tamil comedy actor. He was born in a village called Sangampatti near Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district. He worked in a grocery shop and also has worked under the building contractors. At an early age, he started to learn martial arts. He learnt gymnastics, Karate and Silambam. He has received the Black Belt in Karate. Then, he started his journey to Chennai to seek chances to act in the cinema. He stayed with his friends and worked hard for his living. He says that, he came to Chennai to act in cinema as a fighter. He first made his debut as a stunt actor. He worked as a stunt actor in more than 50 movies. Before he started his career as a stuntman, he worked as a carpenter in AVM studio for two years.      Muthu Kaalai praises actor Prabhu, who introduced him as an actor. He says that Prabhu encouraged him to act in the films and comforted him to dub in his films. His first movie as a stuntman is through the Vijay starrer Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, which was released in 1997. Muthu got good chances to act as a stuntman in Sethu, Velai and many more films. As an actor, he was introduced in the film Ponmanam, directed by S. P. Rajkumar. Again, his next movie was with Prabhu in the film En Uyir Nee Thaane. His physique suits for the comedy roles very much. His career started as a fighter and continues as a successful comedian. Almost he has acted in 160 films, as a comedian. He has acted with all the popular comedy stars like Goundamani, Senthil, Vadivelu and Vivek. Muthu Kaalai wants to act as a solo comedian. He has acted in the popular films like Sivaji The Boss, Chandra Mukhi, Kireedam and M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi. Muthu Kaalai is married and has a son.


Crazy Mohan

Crazy Mohan was born as Mohan Rangachari on October 16, 1949. He is a famous Tamil comedy actor, playwright and screenwriter. He studied Mechanical Engineering at College of Engineering in Guindy. He started writing stage plays and dramas and made his own drama troupe, the Crazy Creations in year 1979 and worked with shows like Meesai Aanaalum Manaivi, Maadhu +2, Allaudin and 100 Watts Bulb and Marriage Made in Salon. His troupe staged in more than 4,500 shows around India and other countries like Atlanta, Albany, Dallas, Canada, Boston and a lot more. His most popular play, Chocolate Krishna was staged for 500 times in the span of three years. His brother, Maadhu Balaji portrayed as a hero in all of Mohan's dramas. He also penned the dialogues on several comedy films. He wrote more than 30 plays and 100 short stories and acted in more than 40 films. When he became a full time writer, he started working in the Chennai-based, Sundaram – Clayton Limited. During college, he wrote the ‘Great Bank Robbery’ which he presented at the inter-collegiate competition, following by some scripts given to his brother’s drama troupe in Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College in Chennai. His very first full-length play, the ‘Crazy Thieves in Paalavakkam’, which he wrote for the 1976 film, Natakapriya, became a major hit and earned him the pen name, Crazy Mohan. Mohan also penned the dialogues for One More Exorcist and Tenant Commandments. Mohan’s first feature film was entitled Poikkal Kudhirai, which is directed by K. Balachander. He penned the dialogues of the film and this was based on his own drama entitled, Marriage Made in Salon. Subsequently, he started writing dialogues for a variety of films along with Kamal Haasan in films like Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Sathi Leelavathi, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Avvai Shanmughi, Vasool Raja MBBS and more. The 2006 comedy film, Jerry was penned and screenplay by Mohan. His entire theatre troop was also featured in the film including the director, S. B. Khanthan. Mohan also portrayed supporting roles and appeared in cameo roles in most of the films he wrote. He started to produce his own television series in year 1987. He produces serials like Vidathu Sirippu, Here is Crazy and Kalyanathukku Kalyanan that completed 600 episodes.  Besides acting, Mohan also love to paint and he aims to be the ‘Jack of all trades, Master of fun’.
