Soundararajan is a renowned Indian Chef. He belongs to a family that is associated with agriculture. He developed his culinary skills as his family is also associated with it. He is awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Vels University and the former President of India, Dr. A P J. Abdul Kalam honored him. He graduated in Science and Catering and Hotel Management. He has been certified from the Culinary Institute of America as a Chef. In 2008, he was the nominee for the Golden Star Award issued by the South Indian Culinary Association. In the same year, He has been awarded as the 'Best Chef of India' by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, for his contribution to the industry for the last three decades.
Having experience in the field for about 32 years, he got the opportunity to work in the hotel chains like The Ashok, The Taj Hotels. His biggest achievement is he was appointed as the head chef in the Prime Minister's house in New Delhi where he got the responsibility to serve the honorable Prime Minister and the President.
He got the opportunity to train international trainees about Indian cuisine, and also he learned various cuisines of Europe. Soundararajan is currently the Corporate Executive Chef of the Club Mahindra Holidays and Resort. His work is to train the new chefs and monitor all the activities. He went to many colleges and universities to address the students and taught them culinary skills. He has been a member of most of the Culinary Association and served them.
