Zeenath is an Indian actress in Malayalam movies and television serials. She has done supporting roles and character roles in many Malayalam movies without any career breaks since 1991.She has bagged the Kerala state film and television awards twice in her career, former as best dubbing artist and later as best actress.
Zeenath was born in 1962 at Nilambur, Malappuram district in a mediocre Muslim family. She has six siblings. She was one of the early few Muslim actresses in Malayalam cinema, inspired by yesteryear actress

She has left no stone unturned in choosing character roles in Malayalam movies and her versatility as an actor was evident in the spectrum of roles she has done, such as a bold woman Kadappuram Karthyayani in the movie Godfather ( 1991), as loving mother in Meenathil thalikettu (1998) and as a society lady in Mr. Butler (2000). She has not restricted herself to any type roles which helped her in having such a long, break-free acting career as supporting actress in Malayalam movies. She has done over hundred movies with almost all leading directors in the field and also shared screen with all the superstars and leading actors. She has also dubbed for Actress Swetha Menon in director P.T Kunju Muhammed’s Paradesi in 2007, for which she won the Kerala State Best Dubbing Artist Award 2007.
In personal life, Zeenath was married first to Malayalam drama director K.T Muhammed in 1977 and got divorced in 2007. She has a son Jithin in that relation. She later married Mr.
Anil Kumar
and the couple has a son,
Nithin Anil
. Zeenath lives with family in Kochi.
