Praseetha Menon is an actress working primarily in Malayalam industry. Among the television serials, she is known for her role as Anmayi in Badayi Bungalow. Born to Mr. Gopalakrishna and Mrs. Radha she is currently residing in Kochi.

She was born in Nigeria where her father worked for a shipping company. Her father was the lawyer of the company, and likewise, Praseetha also wanted to become a lawyer. She was just six years old when they shifted to Kerala and did her schooling from Seventh Day Adventist High School in 1992. After this, she completed her graduation from St. Theresa’s College in Ernakulam in Arts and pursued post-graduation in law from Bengaluru. She has a brother and a sister as well. Praseetha began her career as an actress at a very early age.

She started her career with the movie Moonam Nura. After moving to Kochi, Kerala, her relative Karthika took her family to the set of her film under the production of Seven Arts International, and it was from there she got a chance to act in the movie Moonam Nura. Her first show on the small screen was Mohapakshikal which was aired on Doordarshan. After this, she went on doing various movies and television shows. She has usually played the role of a sister or a daughter in her films except in Crocodile Love Story where she acted as a mother for the first time. She is known for her works especially in television serials such as Sthree which was telecasted on Asia Net. She gained immense fame and recognition for her role of Gladis Fernandez in this show.
