Mridula Vijay is a popular film and TV actress associated with Tamil and Malayalam industry. She was born in Thiruvananthapuram and now she has relocated in Pappanamcode. The actress got support and guidance from her mother to get an entry into films.

Her father is Vijaya Kumar who works in a private firm and her mother is a housewife. She is the eldest daughter in the family and has another sister who is younger. Before her entry into films, she used to get trained in classical dance. Her passion for dance moved her horizon to the cinema. She studied at Cotton hills girls High School. While studying, she appeared in a TV reality shows that was telecast in a Malayalam channel.

She also acted in another Tamil movie 'celebration'. Soon after the success of TV soap operas, she got recognition in the Malayalam film industry and she is associated with two projects 'Infinity’ and Next Token Number’.
