Krishnaprasad is a veteran Malayalam cinema and serial actor who has acted in more than 50 films. He was active in the performing arts while at college, winning awards at the Mahatma Gandhi University Youth Festival in the early 1990s.
He is very glad to have acted in Venal Kinavukal by K.S.Sethumadhavan. He is very grateful to have worked with directors like Prathap Pothen and Vinayan. He says that just having a meeting with the directors was a great honour for him.
Krishnaprasad was a typical youth of the 80s and 90s, and his choice of roles reflected it - carefree and thrill-seeking but also good at heart. As a fan of industry heavyweight Mohanlal, Krishnaprasad was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him in Oru Yathramozhi. Over his long career, Krishnaprasad would continue to collaborate with his idol in projects like Seasons, Thacholi Varghese Chekavar, Kanmadam, Kamaladalam.
Krishnaprasad’s foray into the world of Malayalam serial was well received. His performances in Sthree (Woman), Samayam (Time) and Samaksham were critically acclaimed. For his performance in Samaksham, he received the Critics Award of that year.
Although he is financially stable, Krishnaprasad has an unusual hobby - farming. He finds time to nurture his hobby, and when asked about it, he replies with a grin that nothing is impossible as long as the will to pursue it exists. His father was an agriculturalist by profession.
While he is not involved in the cultural activities of the Malayalam movie industry associations including Kerala Chalachitra Academy and Kerala Lalithakala Academy, he returns to his first love- acting. His recent movies include Anjali Menon's critically acclaimed
