Bobby Avagama is an Indian Actor, Producer, and Entrepreneur. His actual name is Cherian Phillip. He produced films in Malayalam Film Industry. Bobby was born on the 5th of January in the year 1954. He was born in Thiruvalla, Kerala. His father’s name is KC Phillip. He had his schooling from MGM Higher Secondary School.

He graduated from Marthoma College in Thiruvalla, Kerala. He dreamt of being an actor. He started his career as an actor at a young age. But he had to leave as his family was facing a financial crisis. He worked as Industrial labor for a while. Their family lived in Kuwait until 1989. He pursued a Film Making Degree from New York University.

He also pursued a Diploma in Still Photography from New York University. Bobby is a member of the American Film Institute. He is also a member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization. Bobby was a good friend of an award-winning director Kavyoor Shivaprasad, who won State, National, and International awards for his films “Gauri” and “Vembanad.” He started his career in the Film Industry with Shivaprasad.

They together made a film named “Sthalam- The Place” by Shivakumar and produced by Bobby. The film won a Special Jury Award at the Kerala Films Critics Association Awards. He also produced the film “Thanichalla Njaan” by Babu Thirvulla. The film won two Indian National Film Awards in the year 2012 and the Nargis Dutt Award for the Best Feature Film Award in National Integration, and a Best Supporting Actress for the actress Kalpana.
