T K Hamza is a well-known politician in India. He was born on July 14th, 1937. He is a member of Wandoor Panchayat's Koorad. Hamza earned his BA degree from the University of Delhi. Later, he received his BL from Ernakulam's Government Law College. In 1968, he joined the Manjeri Bar. He served as the Minister for Public Works in Kerala's 8th Legislative Assembly from 1987 until 1991. He also worked in the 14th Lok Sabha. He was a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) political party. Hamza represented the Manjeri seat in Kerala. At present, he worked as the Chairman of the Kerala Wakf Board.
Hamza began his political career in 1957. He was a Congress party member at the time. Hamza was a member of the KSU, the Youth Congress, and the INTUC. He left Congress in 1984 to join the CPI (M). Shri. He was elected to the Nilamboor Constituency as an independent candidate. He worked in the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1982. Hamza was elected to the KLA in 1987, 1991, and 1996 as a CPI(M) candidate from the Beypore Constituency.
Hamza worked in the Ministry of Works, Wakf, Haj, and Inland Navigation. He worked from 2nd April 1987 to 17th June 1991 in the ministries. Shri. E.K. Nayanar led the Ministry. During the Xth KLA, Shri. From 1996 to 2001, Hamza served as the Government Chief Whip in the Assembly. He was the head of the Committee on Public Accounts from 1991 to 1993. And, from 1996 to 2001, he led the Committee on Privileges.
In 2004, Shri. T.K. Hamza was elected to the Lok Sabha. He held key positions in Congress and the CPI during his long public career (M). His roles included President of the Malappuram DCC(I) from 1978 to 1982 and D.C. Member of the CPI(M) (M). His wife is Smt. Mymoona. Hamza and Mymoona have three sons and two daughters.
