The singer turned composer has worked predominantly in the South Indian industry. The young artist delivered several Tamil songs and composed some tracks in films such as Kali, 22 Female Kottayam, Urmi, Thaskaraha, etc. It has been a while since he stepped into the industry, and he is doing a good job. He owns a Studio in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He is also a lead singer of a rock band. Since his childhood days, he had interest in music and singing. He learned Carnatic music from Surendran and got musical training from Perumbavoor G Raveendranath.

He did his schooling from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir and regularly participated in cultural events. Kurian is a B.tech graduate with specialization in Electronics and Instrumentation. After graduating, he declined a job offer to pursue a career in music. He took the inspiration of Rex Vijayan, who is the guitarist of Malayali band Avial. Kurian formed the group and started performing at small gigs. Kurian believed that singing reality shows could boost one’s confidence and give recognition.

So, in 2007 he auditioned for the 4th season Super Star and got selected. The show aired on Amrita TV, and Kurian performed a variety of music and entertained the audience. He drifted from peppy songs to classical music and gazal melodies. The versatile singer found a place in the heart of the judges and the people. He did not win the show but surely made his mark.

After the show, he recorded his debut track with KS Chitra for the movie Blackcat. He also joined hands with Rose bowl and Kappa TV to give individual performances and render his soulful music. Later, Kurian tried hands at composing music and released an album named Thalam with his band members, Yakzan and Charan. It became a hit. He also rendered tunes for a few songs in the 2015 Malayalam movie Rasam. He does not believe in music and prefers to deliver at the moment. His latest album is Hope which has five songs in it.
