K. Hari Kumar

Harikumar Krishnamoorthy was raised in Gurgaon, Haryana, but was born in Tripunithura, Kerala, on January 3, 1989. He is an Indian novelist and filmmaker raised in the Gurgaon suburbs after being born in Cochin. He attended DAV Public School in Gurgaon for his education. After finishing his engineering degree, he started producing documentaries and short films with friends. His first book's text was completed in 2010 when he was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The work was finally published as When Strangers Meet by Srishti Publishers in 2013 after receiving numerous rejections from publishers. The book tells the tale of three strangers who encounter one another in a metro station and how they encourage one another to change their lives. The author's own life and some actual events are used as inspiration for the work. That Frequent Visitor, Hari Kumar's second book, was released in 2015.

The book served as an ode to the anti-rape demonstrations in Delhi. When Strangers Meet, his debut book, was released in 2013; the subsequent books are That Frequent Visitor (2015), A Game of Gods (2016), and The Other Side of Her (2018). He wrote the story and screenplay for the Hindi-language psychological horror web series Bhram and the Malayalam film E. (web series). He has been acknowledged as one of India's best horror authors. Indian screenwriter K. Hari Kumar, also known as "Horror Kumar," is a best-selling author of horror and psychological thriller books. The horror category global bestsellers list on Amazon.com first featured Hari as an Indian author. Fifty of his short horror stories were published in the 2019 anthology India's Most Haunted.
