T V Kochubava was an outstanding writer who published books and short stories in Malayalam. He was from Kerala State in South India and was born on November 28, 1955, in Kattor village to Veeravu and Beevathu. During his early years, he schooled in Kattoor before moving to Sharjah. When he returned to India, he settled in Kozhikode and worked as an editor with Gulf Voice. He was married to Zeenath, and they had two children, a son and a daughter. T V Kochubava wrote twenty-three books across different genres. Asides novels and short stories, his work also included translations and screenplays.
Some of his works include Jalamalika, Soochikkuzhayil Oru, Upajanmam, Avatarika Bhoopatangalkku, Vridhasadanam, Perumkaliyattam, Bhoomi Sastram, and many others. However, one of the pieces of literature that made him stand out was titled Balloon. This script won the first prize in the weekly screenplay competition organized by Nana film weekly. T V Kochubava died on the 25th of November, 1999 in Kozhikode, India. During his lifetime, he won lots of literary awards, including the Ankanam Award, SBT Award, Cherukad Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi award for Novel, Thoppil Ravi Award, and V. P. Savikumar Keli Award.
