Mathew Thomas

He was born on 16 October 2002 who made his recognition in 2019 from the movie Kumbalangi Nights. The 16-year old kid form Thiruvamkulam, Ernakulam, joined Gregorian Public School, Kochi after, which he auditioned for Kumbalangi Nights as Franky Napoleon. Mathew also went to Bahrain while his parents were there for a temporary purpose. His parents, namely Biju John Thuruthiyil and Susan(works as a civil engineer and maths teacher respectively), supported his talent and inspired him to go on with his career. He also has an elder brother named John Thomas. After the commercial success of Kumbalangi Nights, his casting was as a lead in Thanneeer Mathan Dinangal as Jaison. He also has a part in the movie that was released in the year 2020 named Anjaam Pathiraa.

Thanneeer Mathan Dinangal was a movie that gave huge recognition to Mathew. In an interview, he spills beans about his practice before Kumbalangi Nights such as swimming, playing football, rowing, an even acting in front of a camera for six months. As it was the time of his boards, the auditioning for the movie thrilled him, and the shoot started after the exam. He chose commerce for class 12^th and wants to pursue a Bachelor of commerce or BBA for his higher studies. As an introvert kid, he never wanted to be on screen, but after the music video named “ Ee Jathikka Thottam” went viral on youtube, kicked off his confidence.

Mathew Thomas is a young actor who appears in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut in 2019 with kumbalangi nights. He is from Ernakulum, Kerala. His father is a Civil Engineer, and his mother is a senior higher secondary school teacher in Mathematics. He has an elder brother. He did his schooling from Indian School, Manama, Bahrain, for a few years while his parents were employed there temporarily.

Upon return, he joined Gregorian Public School Maradu, Ernakulam from where he as auditioned for Kumbalangi Nights. For this film, he had to undergo severe training. After this film, he also played for other films which brought him success. He has also won many awards for his acting, including the  Asianet film award for the movie “ Thanneer Mathan Dinangal” and Vanitha film award for the best newcomer in the film "Kumbalangi nights.”
