Junaid Sheikh

Junaid Sheikh is a hunk model and film actor, known for doing villain roles. He was born on July 31, 1984, in Jammu, India to Shamas UI Nissa and Sheikh Riyaz Ahmed, who were both entrepreneurs. He studied at Presentation Convent High School in Jammu and completed Information Technology at the Manipal University. Junaid had a master’s degree in MBA from Arizona, U.S.A. He kickstarted his career as an international model and later ramped for popular designers like Hari Anand.

He became a show stopper for Anand in 2013 at the Kerala International Fashion Week and Citadel Fashion Fiesta in the year 2014. In 2015, he was also a Fashion Icon for the Kerala Fashion League. When he decided to focus on his acting career, he joined Barry John’s Acting Studio in Mumbai. In 2010, he was debuted as a villain in the Telugu film, Pappu Mr. Intelligent.

Junaid Sheikh was born in Jammu and Kashmir on 31st July 1984. He has acted in various projects and TV commercials. He spent his early life in Jammu; he had his primary education at Presentation Convent High School and later he had his graduation from Manipal University in Information Technology. He did his masters from Arizona’s International Business school. His father, Sheikh Riyaz, and mother, Shamas Ul Nissa both are entrepreneurs.

Junaid’s athleticism and his physique make him a natural choice to play villainous characters onscreen. In his early days, Junaid started as an International model and was part of the Pune Fashion Week 2011, Kerala Fashion Week 2013, and Citadel Fashion Fiesta 2013. He later walked the ramp for International designers. After running an excellent career as a model, Junaid wanted to escalate his career and wished to join the Film Industry.

He joined an acting studio to polish himself as an actor in Mumbai and in 2010 bagged the role of a villainous character in Mr. Intelligent; the part brought him the concrete base to develop and rise in the industry. In 2011, Junaid was a part of two Telugu movies, Dhaka and Dookudu and one Tamil movie, Velayudham. In 2012, he was part of the Malayalam flick; I Love Me where he played the character of Albert; the story is about an entrepreneur who hires two gunmen from Kochi to kill a man in Bangkok to protect his business empire from falling.

The picture failed and was declared a flop. Salaam Kashmir and Temper were two other releases of 2014 in which Junaid portrayed different characters. Temper was a corrupt police officer who earns illegal money by using his powers as a cop and a drug smuggler, Walter Vasu, who ultimately join hands to help each other rise. Vasu wants the police officer, Daya to kill a woman who has seen his brothers committing a crime.

The story revolves around the two and Daya’s girlfriend and the woman who help him to become a disciplined officer. In 2015, Junaid was a cast in the movie Lailaa O’ Lailaa; the story is about an undercover cop, Jai who is not allowed to reveal his true identity. He marries a girl, Lailaa and is later compelled to tell her the truth. Lailaa is asked to be a bar dancer and act a bait to catch a runaway terrorist, Victor. With Lailaa help, Jai discovers their plan to kill the US President and ultimately ruins their plan. Junaid is currently working on a Hollywood Project.
