Sasikala Menon is an Indian Lyricist. She was born in Paravur, India. She has been among the top listed lyricist in the country and across. She is the daughter of her father Govind Menon Govind Menon is an Indian music composer, singer, >> Read More... and mother, whose name has not been yet revealed. Sasikala got married to N. Venugopal. She has been noted as the woman with a maximum number of songs written in the Malayalam language. Sasikala currently resides at Nemon, Thiruvananthapuram, India. She used to work for the Malayalam film industry. But currently, she has been shifted towards the devotional part, rather in the movies. She started her career at the age of fifteen when she was in standard 10th.
In the year 1976, she wrote lyrics for the cinema Sindooram. Sasikala even wrote a devotional song on Lord Krishna, named Yadukula Madhava. Then she got the second chance for Agninakshtram, by Vincent Master. Sasikala was been applauded for her work in her first attempt. Later she got Nitya sahaya may have, which is a devotional song of Christianity. In the year 2014, she wrote lyrics for the movie Strawberry Theyyam, along with film composer Sharreth. She also wrote for Jilebi, good bad ugly, which has been composed by M.G. Sreekumar. Her favorite pieces include Vayanadan Thampan, Thaarattu, and many more.
