Ramabhadran B is a South Indian Director and Producer who works in the Malayalam industry. His most notable work includes the uniquely crowdfunded movie Thankamma, released in 2016, which took him six months to shoot during his college days. It is a fifteen-minute documentary that has received appreciation from all around the world. His friends and professors crowdfunded the movie, and the budget was only 10,000 rupees. Ramabhadran B received credit for directing the film at a very young age, in his early 20s. His documentary was also screened at the National Competition Section at the 15th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) in 2018. It was also screened at 15 other film festivals worldwide,
including Canada's Concordia Film Festival, Bulgaria's Early Bird International Students Film Festival, and the International Competition Section of Venice's Ca' Foscari Short Film Festival. Many film enthusiasts also previewed the documentary at Alamat Party, which is a small side section of the Venice Biennale. He has a Bachelor's of Science majoring in Physics. However, he didn't pursue a career in that field and instead finished a Diploma in Audiography from the KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts in Kottayam. At the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in 2016, he also created a sound installation depicting a heart-warming scene of a dog waiting for its master during a flood.
