Plot
Kadhikan is a film about an excellent storyteller who makes a living at sawmill. The name of this art form is Kathaprasangam. The Kathaprasangam art form used to be popular and often used in temples and during festivals, but gradually its popularity decreased and because of this the storyteller stopped performing the art. A traumatized boy called Mithun, who is 17 years old wishes to learn this art of Kathaprasangam from the storyteller. This interest that the young boy has in the art reignites the storyteller’s interest. The story teller teaches the young boy the art and informs him about its history. Very soon, the young boy and the storyteller develop a powerful and unique bond.

Mukesh gives a brilliant performance.
Analysis
The writing and the editing should have been improved. Mukesh performs his role well. The dialogues are too shallow. The storytelling of the plot is not impressive and feels very superficial. The beautiful songs that the musician has provided enhance the scenes in the film. There are a lot of unnecessarily overdramatic scenes and the film also lacks originality in its narrative.
