Sadhana Lakshmi Venkatesh popularly known as Baby Sadhana is a 12-year-old new celebrity who is making it big in the Indian film industry. Sadhana is an Indian, based in Dubai with her family. Her father Mr. Venkatesh works as a sales director in a software firm in Dubai Media City, and her mother Mrs. Lakshmi is a professional classical dancer and Sadhana’s elder sister Sahana is a trained classical singer. Sadhana is studying in 7th grade at GEMS Our Own Indian School, Dubai. She is a multi-talented child who enjoys dancing, singing and is also a brilliant student. Baby Sadhana plays the role of an 8-year-old daughter named Chellamma, who is a below average student in school and has a lot of trouble with her teachers, classmates but when she is around her father she is all happy. Kalyani (Ram), Chellamma’s father, is a laborer who tries everything in his power to keep his lovely daughter happy.

The film also throws a critique on the education system, but above all “Thanga Meengal” is a heartwarming, simple and honest movie. The music director Yuvan along with the famous lyricist late Mr. Na. Muthukumar together did a fabulous job with the background score and the songs of the movie especially “Aanandha yazhai “ became extremely popular. Baby Sadhana had also sung the song “First Last” in the movie. Thanga Meengal brought Sadhana a National Award (the most prestigious award in the Indian film Industry) for the Best Child Artist, in appreciation for her performance as Chellamma She dedicates it to her director and co-star Ram and the Film’s crew. Sadhna Venkatesh, also famously known as Baby Sadhana is an Indian film actress and singer, who worked in the Tamil film industry. She is from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. For better education, her family, along with, baby Sadhana moved to Dubai. For her schooling, she went to GEMS Our Own Indian School in Dubai. She was born in the year 2001. In just 12 years, Sadhana played a lead role in the movie Thanga Meengal (2013), directed by Ram. He is a close uncle to Sadhana and saw the hidden potential in her, and offered her the role of Chellamma.

Sadhana's parents, Venkatesh and Lakshmi Venkatesh, hesitated in letting their daughter act in a movie, but after reading the script, and they changed their mind. The storyline of the film involved a girl who has struggles living an ordinary life and due to financial difficulties, they still manage to have a good life together. She debuted in acting by the movie Thanga Meengal, and won the Tamil Best child artist award, Chennai international film festival 2014, and the SIIMA 2014 for Best child artist. She immediately won thousands of hearts by her debut movie.

After her break from the Tamil film industry, for the completion of her studies, she starred in the film Peranbu starring Mammootty, Anjali, and many more. She plays the role of Mammootty's daughter; she instantly connected with the character. She is also a classical dancer tutored and mastered by her mother, Lakshmi Venkatesh, who runs a dance academy Sri Paadham Academy of Dance in Dubai. She won the Sheikh Hamdani Award for excellence. Sadhana has also taken coaching for Carnatic vocal and playing veena. She would love to work in an action film, as the actor has always desired to work in the movie Karate kid if ever made in Tamil. Along with Acting, Sadhana loves to dance, sing, watch movies, and listen to songs.
