The Malayalam actor was born on July 13 in Calicut. He did his schooling at NNMHSS, Chelambra, Kerala, and GMHSS CU Campus School, Kozhikode, Kerala. After that, he pursued civil engineering at NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, Kerala. Later, in 2019, he pursued a master’s in business administration at Pondicherry University. The actor is skilled in both acting and singing.

Akash is chiefly known for portraying Ajayan Chettiyar or Ajayankuttan in the 2012 soap opera Pattu Saree. The story pivots around a businesswoman who owns a shop selling silk sarees. Although she had twin daughters, she thinks they passed away when they met with a car accident. Ironically, one of her daughters, whom she does not recognize, chooses to work in her shop. Later, the businesswoman reunites with her husband and realizes that both her daughters are alive.

Akash bagged a few awards for his exceptional performance in the series. He won the Kerala State Film Critic TV Award 2014 and K. P. Ummer State Award for Best Actor. In addition to these two, he bagged the Performance Award by Filmcity Magazine Award.

Akash has also starred in the 2017 flick Viswasapoorvam Mansoor, helmed and directed by P. T. Kunju Muhammed.
