She was born on 06 April 1994 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to a well-fitted Hindu family. Her father is Somashekhar, a corporate professional, and her mother is Rachana Somashekhar, who is a housewife. Raksha has one younger brother named Rahul Rao, who is currently a college student at Bangalore University. She was raised in the former country only by her parents.

She completed her schooling at one of the prestigious schools named Delhi Public School in Bangalore. After that, she went to Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore, Karnataka, and finished her graduation there. Even after some time, she continued with her education and enrolled in Alliance University, Bangalore, and did her post-graduation.
