Manoj K Jayan Returns To Kannada Cinema With ‘Rangasthala’

Manoj K Jayan is making a comeback to Sandalwood.

After almost two decades, the actor will work for a Kannada movie titled ‘Rangasthala’. The movie will be directed by Ieshwara Nithin, who is making his directorial debut. Vilok Raj Bio coming soon... >> Read More... and Shilpa Kamath will be playing the lead roles in this movie, while Manoj’s character will have negative shades in the movie. Not much is known about the plot of the film, except that it will focus on the folk culture of a village in Mangaluru district.

Manoj is well known for his roles in Malayalam films. He has classics like ‘Pazhassi Raja’, ‘ Thattathin Marayathu Click to look into! >> Read More... ’, ‘Salute’, ‘Mallikappuram’ etc. to his credit. He had worked in ‘UgraNarasimha’ as an intelligence officer, which was released in 2004. This was his only Kannada film till date.

Since then, Manoj focused mostly on Malayalam films, and if at all he ventured outside, it was mostly limited to Tamil and Telugu films. ‘Rangasthala’ would be his first Kannada movie in 20 years, and he is excited for the project as well.
