Nanditha, being born on 28th February 1978 is an Indian singer by profession. She plays instruments like Veena and Vocals and belongs from Channarayapatna, Karnataka, India. Languages known by her are Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. Nanditha, best notable for Kannada playback singing, began her career from a film ‘Habba’ written and directed by D. Rajendra Babu. Long since then she holds many awards and has received Filmfare awards for playback singing. This south Indian playback singer has completed her BE from Bangalore’s RV College of Engineering and was a software engineer in an American Multinational: Cisco Systems, Inc (known as Cisco). Due to her deep love towards music, she quit the IT profession and has now kept music as her priority. Nanditha married Rakesh, a software engineer by profession in 2004 who also happens to be the son of CSIR Director N V Raman. Her career began when she got her first break from Hamsalekha, a music director in the film Habba. Nanditha has worked with many famous directors until the present day in Apthamitra, Aa Dinagalu, Yeshwant, Kallarali Hoovagi, Matadana and so on. Some famous songs Nanditha is known for are Kariya I Love You, Moda modalu, Akka, Sihi gili, Baara Sanihake Baara, Idu Modalane Hadu, and Modal Kunigal Kere and last but not the least Ede Tumbi Hadidenu. Nanditha won the Karnataka State Film Award for best playback singing continuously for three consecutive years in 2002, 2003 and 2004 for the songs Bili banaada gini from the movie Gandhada Gombe, Yede tumbi hadidenu from the film Paris pranaya and Aakshake obba from Jogula respectively. She backed the Best Female Playback Singer for Baanige bhaskara chanda from the movie Mandakini in 2009. With two Filmfare Awards being Best Female Playback Singer for Neenendare from Raam in 2009 and Best Female Playback Singer- Kannada for ‘Kariya I Love You’ from Duniya in 2007 and Nanditha is proud of it. She also received the Favorite Singer at SFM Kalaa Awards for the year 2008. Nanditha is not only a great singer but also a well- established artist having worked for hit films like Nanna Preetiya playing the role of Deepa and in Paris Pranaya having played the character of Minal Patel.
