Sunil Koshy is a music director, singer, music composer, and playback singer. He was born and brought up in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He was in the technical department at Intel but quit his job to follow his passion for music. He was learning music from RR Keshavamurthy Sir, but it was difficult to manage both a job and music training. Therefore, he quit his job and dedicate himself to learning music for the next two years. After that, he learned from Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindi. Later, he moved to a gurukulam in Chennai.
