Born on 3rd October 1997, Sanjith Hegde is an Indian playback singer. Hegde belongs to “Kannadiga” family in Bangalore and he finished his college studies from CMR National PU College situated in Bangalore. Then he went on to complete his engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore.
He is mainly known for his singing in the Kannada playback industry. Although, he also likes to sings in various other languages including Hindi and Tamil. Hegde’s journey into the Kannada music industry started with his auditioning for “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa-13”. He rose to fame in the show and his melodious voice won the hearts of lakhs of people watching the show.
This euphonious voice was the reason that he became one of the semi-finalists of the prestigious singing reality show. Sanjith sung song of different genres very proficiently in the show which shows how adept and comfortable he is with singing songs from a different genre. He runs a Youtube channel by his name where he has made covers of Hindi playback singer.
Sanjith has also been very active on social media platforms and he uses it as a medium to interact with his fans, take requests for songs from them and post his works on it. Sanjith has lent his mellifluous voice in many songs from different languages. “Ondu mother Lathe”, “Gunu Gunuvuva”, “Karunadina Kariya Ivanu” and many of his other songs were widely appreciated.
He has a special place in his heart for Hindi Bollywood music, with his favourite singer being
Arijit Singh. He also listens and looks up to International stars and their music, his favourite being “Strings”, a pop band from Pakistan. Hegde believes it to be the evolution of music with the coming of ‘auto-tune’ in the music industry.
According to him, everything must progress with time, including music. Sanjith likes to listen to all types of music, from Arijith Singh’s euphonies to the evergreen Ghazals of
Jagjit Singh, in his free time. He achieved fame and recognition in the music industry, which is not limited to Kannada, at a tender age, purely because of his talent, persistence and hard work in pursuance of his passion.
