Divya Spandana, born on November 29, 1982, known by her film industry name Ramya, is an Indian film actress and also a politician. She finished her schooling at St. Hilda's school in Ooty, and in Sacred Heart School, Chennai, She completed her graduation from St. Joseph's Commerce College, Bangalore. She mostly acts in Kannada movies and also acts in Tamil and Telugu films.
She started her acting career in the film Abhi in 2003, opposite Kannada actor Puneet Rajkumar. She eventually starred in many Kannada films with many famous south Indian lead actors and, following successive commercial box-office hits, established herself as one of the best and most sought after actresses in the film industry. Ramya debuted in the Tamil film industry the film Kuththu in 2004. Her most memorable movies are Ranga S. S. L. C., Excuse Me, Kanti, Amrithadhare, Aakash, Tananam Tananam, Mussanjemaatu etc. She acted in famous Tamil director Gautham Menon's national film award winning movie " Vaaranam Aayiram Story soon >> Read More... Divya won Filmfare Best Actress Award twice for her memorable acting in Sanju Weds Geetha and Tananam Tananam films. She also won Best Actress Award for the movie Sanju Weds Geetha in by the Karnataka State.
Divya entered politics in 2011, by joining the Indian Youth Congress. She was elected as a Member of Parliament from Mandya constituency in 2013 after winning the by-election and she became the youngest Member of Parliament in India.

After she got active in politics, she lessened her work and remained occupied with her constituency work and she is no longer interested in doing running behind the trees character.
