Sridhar Rangayan is an Indian director who worked for the Kannada film industry. He was born on 2nd April 1962 in Mandy, Karnataka. Sridhar is a multi-talented director, screenwriter, and film producer who shared his work in South Indian movies. He is famous for his special focus on queer subjects like The Pink Mirror and Yours Emotionally are considered to be groundbreaking which show the large closet of the Indian gay community.
Indian Censor board banned his film The Pink Mirror because it contains homosexual content. Along with Ashok Row Kavi, he is the founder member and trustee of The Humsafar Trust, which is the first gay NGO in India. Between 1999-2003, he designed the first Indian gay magazine, Bombay Dost. He completed his graduation from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, and completed his post-graduation from Industrial Design Centre, from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay which specialization in Visual Communications. Sridhar also led the parade along with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, when he was chosen as one of the Grand Marshals at the 2016 Montreal Pride Parade.

Sridhar also won many national and international awards like Rajat Kamal National Awards for Best Editor in 63rd National film Awards 2016, Best Narrative Feature at Chicago South Asian Film Festival, Free To Be Me Award at Roze Filmdagen in Amsterdam, Best Film of the Festival Awards at Question De Genre film festival in 2003 in France, RAPA Awards for Best Telefilm in 2000, and many others.
