Raghu Ram DP, cancer by birth is a Kannada film director famous for his directions like Fair and Lovely and Missing Boy. Raghu Ram DP’s birthday falls on 9th of July. He lives in Bengaluru with his wife, Sushma Raghuram. He got married to Sushma on October 2. They have two daughters, Nanasu and Naadha. Along with direction, Raghu has also worked in few movies as a story writer, screenplay writer, and dialogue writer. His first directorial release was a Kannada movie called Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu. This romantic film, released in the year 2010, was a big hit all over South India.

In 2013, he worked as a music director for a Telugu movie called Aasa Dosa Appadam. He rose to fame with Kannada movie Shivaputswami from Singanallur. Released in December 2014, it is a drama/thriller movie starring the famous Kannada actor, Shiva Rajkumar. His other 2014 releases include Fair and Lovely and CM. Fair and lovely, directed as well as written by Raghu Ram, is a super hit Kannada romantic movie. It is the story about a sex worker, played by Shweta Srivastav and Manoj, played by Prem Kumar who are trapped in a brothel. Shweta Srivastav bagged the Best Actress Award for her role in Fair and Lovely at 62nd Filmfare Awards South. Also, Raghu Ram DP was nominated for Best Director (Fair and Lovely) at the 4th South Indian International Movie Awards.

Raghu Ram DP has also directed the critically acclaimed movie “Missing Boy” which is said to be similar to Oscar-nominated Hollywood movie “ Lion.” The movie stars First Rank Raju’s Gurunandan, Rangayana Raghu, Archana Jayakrishnan, Ravishankar Gowda, etc. The shooting of this movie took place in Greece, Kundhagol and other parts of Karnataka. His other works include Namagaagi. The shooting for this movie started in 2015, but due to some issue, it was stopped. In 2016, the shooting of Namagaagi resumed, and on May 17, 2017, the movie was released. Raghu Ram’s next project is Mysore Hudga which is set to be released in 2018. When asked if he will appear in any of his movies, he replied saying that he does not believe in directors working in their projects. K V Raju is a well-recognized director, dialogue-writer, and screenwriter. He is known mostly for his contribution to Kannada Film Industry. K V Raju is the brother of famous director K V Jayaram. In the year 1982, Raju entered the Kannada Film Industry as an associate director to his brother for movie Baadada Hoo. In the year 1984, he made his debut as a director and writer through film Olave Baduku, for which he received positive reviews. Raju gained immense popularity over few years and soon he was flooded with the opportunity to direct various movie such as- Sangrama (1987), Bandha Mukhta (1987), Navbharta (1989), Yuddhakanda(1989), Belli Modagalu, Belli Kalungoora, etc; all of which were blockbusters. His films were mostly above-average grosser in terms of commercialization and were regarded as unique because they never were influenced by Telugu or Tamil films in spite of being commercial films. KV Raju became a sensation in Kannada film Industry by giving a large number of blockbusters in both 80’s and 90’s. He worked with most of Kannada superstars and almost every other actor was ready to work with him. Raju took a decade-long break from film direction because he found lack of good film scripts, but he continued writing for other films and currently, he till writes for movies. Big-budget and multi-starrer film Rajdhani (2011) was the first film directed by K V Raju after his decade-long break. The film was initially supposed to be developed by Raghu but he was replaced by the producer of the film Soumya Sathyan due to allegations of financial misappropriation. In the year 2017, Raju worked for the screen-play and dialogue-writing of film Tiger Galli, starring Sathish Ninasam, Bhavana Rao, Mr. Shivamani and Roshni Parekh as leads.
