L N Mukundaraj

L. N. Mukundaraj is a South Indian professional film director, producer, screenplay writer, supporting actor and also a story writer. He has worked predominantly in the Kannada movie industry. He is best known for his movie Kaada Haadiya Hoogalu, a Kannada drama film in which he was the director, story writer, screenplay writer and also the producer. Kaada Haadiya Hoogaluwas his debut project starring Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and Prakash Urs in lead roles, and it got released in the year 2015. L. N. Mukundaraj was born in a small town called Nagavalli in Shimoga district in Karnataka, India. Growing up in this town, his grandfather became the reason behind L N Mukundaraj's interest in literature and story writing. As a child, L N Mukundaraj's grandfather gifted him a lot of story books including Chandha Mama comics, Vikram Adithya stories, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and many more. He also got the interest in watching drama and theatre performances because of his grandfather. L. N. Mukundaraj has grown as a very patriotic and ardent lover and follower of the Kannada language. L. N. Mukundaraj was a supporting actor in the Kannada drama movie named Jagruti in the year 2016 which was directed by film director H Anantharayappa with Kannada actors Motamma and L Hanumanthaiah in lead roles. He is also a Kannada Literature personality in Karnataka. He is the author of many plays, poems, skits, and many other pieces of Kannada literature. L. N. Mukundaraj has also received many prestigious awards for his writing. In 2018, L. N. Mukundaraj became the recipient of the prestigious Karnataka Nataka Academy Awards which glorifies the works of people in the drama and theatre arts. L. N. Mukundaraj received this award for excellence in Playwriting. These Karnataka Nataka Academy Awards are given along with a cash prize of twenty-five thousand rupees to each winner. The film Kaada Haadiya Hoogalu of film director L N Mukundaraj was screened in Karnataka Lekhakhiyara Sangha and Gupta College in Bengaluru, Karnataka. After the screening, students of the institution interacted with the movie actor Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar and the filmmaker L N Mukundaraj. L. N. Mukundaraj is also a member of the administration in the NACT (National Academy of Cinema and Television) Film Society in Karnataka. He is the drama writer in the association. His extreme passion and dedication towards this art of writing in his mother tongue led him to this honorary position in the prestigious organization.
