Shirish Kunder is an Indian Film producer, director, writer, editor and composer. He was born on 24th of May 1973 in Mangalore. He lives in Mumbai and also grew up here. He completed his Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Karnataka. He also studied Advanced Screenwriting from the University of Southern California.Â
After that he was working for Motorola for some time. Shirish later started his career into films. He started off with editing for movies. His editorial debut was Champion. However he got his share of appreciation and fame for editing

film in 2004. He edited about 20 films in all and then made a move to directing. The movie Jaan-E-Mann was his debut film as a director. The film had actors like Salman AKA Bhaijaan, the Khiladi of B-Town Akshay and the Dimple queen Preity in the leading roles. The film released in October 2006. He wrote, edited and also composed for the film. The film got acclamation and appreciation from critics for its innovative style of direction but was average on the box office.
He then went on to produce

. Shirish wrote the film, composed the score for the film and also edited it. The film came out on 24th of December 2010. The movie did not turn out to be successful commercially.
His next film as a director was Joker. The film starred

once again in the lead role opposite to Sonakshi and also had

in a major role. Joker released on 31st of August 2012. This multitalented man again had written the script, produced the movie and also edited it. He also composed for the film. The film had a different and fresh story but it did not worked well commercially, as it was not something that Indian audience expects in a movie.Â
Shirish is married to Bollywood choreographer and Director Farah Khan.
