Shakun Batra is an Indian filmmaker and he was born on January 1st, 1983. He is a nationalized researcher in Accounts. He has completed his schooling from St.Xavier's High School from New Delhi and done his graduation from St. Stephen's College from Delhi University. After completing his graduation he has done post graduation in MBA. After completing his MBA he joined his father’s business. Though, he was thinking to do something else. He wanted to make his career in cinematography knowing that the film industry is famous for preferential treatment so he took a chance and taken admission in Vancouver Film School. After sometime he got to know that he was much interested in film direction. After he completed his graduation from film school, he decided to stay in Mumbai. From here he stared his journey of rising.
He assisted Christopher Wilcha who won Emmy award and Errol Morris who won academy award throughout their shift in India. Shakun Batra also worked with well-known Bollywood movie production houses such as Aamir Khan Productions and Excel Entertainment.

Finally, Shakun Batra’s first directorial debut film was Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu that was directed by him when he was 28 years old. In this film he casted Kareena Kapoor and Imraan Khan in lead role with Dharma Productions. This movie has received great response at the box office as well as it received good reviews from critics.
