The stunning Mauritian model Viveka Babajee had been a heartthrob for many young audiences in India. Viveka was born on 27th May 1973 in Port Louis, Mauritius. Youngest out of the four children, Viveka truly showed signs of reaching for the stars, from small age itself. The Babajee family moved to India in the 1990s, where young Viveka was able to properly unleash her talents. Although the time she got to enjoy her fame was short-lived as she decided for herself to take her life, on 25th June 2010, she decided to end it all by hanging from her ceiling -fan. Her body was found in her apartment at Bandra, Mumbai.
Just at the age of 37, her life came to an end due to depression caused by a rough break up. Her diary revealed that the person responsible for her death was Gautam Vohra her ex- boyfriend. Viveka had always shown potential on the ramp. She had the looks and skills required for a successful model. The Mauritian model had walked numerous numbers of ramps for many top designers in India.

. The long list of top designers that she had worked with didn’t stop there. All of her fame in the ramp started with her ad for KamaSutra condoms. The ad was seen to be a huge hit in the market, which also helped to boost up her reputation.
The condom commercial was able to give her a surge of confidence to appear in much more. She even appeared in many hit music videos such as Daler Mehndi’s and Harbhajan Mann’s Hai Meri Billo. She had also tried her luck with Cream Events-a business group that was widely successful- in which she partnered up with her ex-boyfriend Kartik Jobanputra.
Although, later on, she was seen to bid goodbye to the Cream Event and move on with her on-screen life. Right after her farewell to Cream Events, in the year 2010, she started her own event management business named VIBGYOR ENT (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red).The business picked up, and VIBGYOR ENT was seen to be highly triumphant. VIBGYOR ENT was seen to host programs such as the Arjun Khanna show by Taj Colaba. Viveka was also an enthusiastic anchor in FTV.
She, later on, made her first debut appearance in the Bollywood film 'Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hai'. She co-starred with the great Deeksha and '
', which was released in the year 2002. Unfortunately, the movie failed to receive the success it deserved in the box office. But yet, her appearance in the film was highly noted by all. In the short life that she lived, she was able to achieve many things and do her best in everything that she tried.
