Rajesh Sharma is a well-known actor in the Bollywood. He has acted even in the regional language films like Bengali films apart from the Bollywood. This famous personality was born on October 8th,1980, in Ludhiana and had pursued his training from the prestigious National School of Drama situated in New Delhi which was established long back in 1975 which was formerly known as Sangeet Natak Academy.

This eminent personality had appeared in various characters in the commercial films like ‘ Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana,’ ‘ The Dirty Picture,’ ‘ Chillar Party,’ ‘ Ishqiya,’ ‘ Khosla Ka Ghosla,’ etc. When he was young about 7 to 8 years old, he saw the people going to the theaters for watching movies, and it was then he decided to become an actor.

His hobbies are reading books and watching movies. He had struggled had to get into the film industry. He had done jobs like driving a taxi etc. during the days he was jobless inspite of being a graduate. He was married to Sudipta Chakraborty, a Bengali actress who had worked in both movies and TV serials but their knot didn’t last longer as they were divorced very soon in 2009, and he married another girl named Sangeeta Sharma and now are living happily.

He had begun his career in the Bollywood as an actor through the film ‘Maachis’ starring Om Puri and Tabu directed by Gulzar in the year 1996 which was the blockbuster in that year. His next film was in Bengali with the name ‘Paromitar Ek Din’ in the year 2000 and from there on he continued acting in the Bengali films till 2004.

Later he acted in Hindi films like ‘Khosle Ka Ghosla’, which was the greatest blockbuster in the year 2006 and ‘ Parineeta’, which passed by the box office as just a normal movie that neither attracted the audience nor refrained them. So he returned to the Bengali films and continued in that industry till 2009.

In the year 2010, he returned to the Bollywood industry with the two greatest blockbusters in that year; one being ‘Ishqiya’ and the other one being a crime thriller ‘ No One Killed Jessica’. Later on, he continued with some of the other flicks like ‘Bedeni’ a Bengali film directed by Anjan Das, ‘Bye Bye Bangkok’ another Bengali film directed by Aniket Chattopadhyay, ‘Paapi,' ‘Punorutthan,' ‘Chillar Party.'

The movie ‘System’ directed by Shahzad Ghufoor in the year 2014 was a big blast at the box office for him after a long time, but was again back to his performance with the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ starring Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan, ‘ Ghanchakkar’ starring Vidhya Balan and Emraan Hashmi and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta was again a flick in his career.

In the year 2015 he had acted in ‘ Tevar,’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, which couldn’t add any bolster to his career and ‘ Dolly Ki Doli’ starring Sonam Kapoor which was another disaster in his film career apart from the two blockbusters ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor and ‘ Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ starring R.Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut.

He was an excellent actor in both the Bollywood as well as in the Bengali movies which ended up facing several ups and downs in his career. Currently, he is acting in the Bollywood film ‘Wakil’ which is yet to hit the box-office in this year.

Rajit Kapur is a famous Indian actor most known for his award-winning portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 1996 film, ‘The Making of the Mahatma.’ And the detective television series, ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ based on the character created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay the series was directed by Basu Chatterjee, the series was so popular that Rajit said, that people often mistaken him to be solving a murder mystery even when he visited a restaurant. Rajit Kapur won the National Film Award for the Best Actor in the 1996 film The Making of the Mahatma, and his role was highly acclaimed both by the critics and the people. He was awarded as the Best Actor in the Kerala State Film Award for his film Agni Sakshi in the year 1999. He was also awarded as the Best Actor in the Imagine India Film Festival, Spain for Best Actor for his film Do Paise Ki Dhoop, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish in 2010, where he moved hearts with his prowess. He was born on May 22, 1960 in Amritsar, and loves theater, and enjoys English plays such as Class of 84. However, he has said to have commented that Delhi audience has no respect for theaters, after the screening of his adult play, ‘Mahua,’ where he was a director. The thing that irked him was that people had to be asked to leave for either being underage or bringing the children to the play despite the fact that the play was highly publicized to be an adult. Rajit is also known for his recent roles in films such as Roy, Kick, Singh Saab the Great, Shaitan, Guzaarish, Well Done Abba and Zubeidaa. His film Phir Se... Is soon to be released. However, he says that he is waiting for tough characters and would not mind doing even a two-minute roll if the roll is meaningful.
