One of the prominent faces in the industry of Bollywood is that of Kunal Kohli. He is a director, writer, producer as well as a chef by profession. Kunal’s mother’s name is Yash Kohli, who was a huge Shashi Kapoor fan. Hence, she chose the name Kunal for her son, after Shashi Kapoor’s son, Kunal. Yash Kohli is always mistaken by people for Dev Anand’s nephew, Yash Kohli, who is a producer. Kunal tied the knot with Ravina Kohli, the director of the well-appreciated TV series, ‘Koffee with Karan’. She was also a part of Yash Raj TV. The duo, after their 12 years of marriage, adopted a baby girl. She has been named Radha by Kunal.

Kunal is famous for his film, ‘ Fanaa’, which released in 2006 and starred Aamir Khan. He started his career in the late 1990’s as a show critic. He was also seen as a host for the Zee TV premiere, ‘Chalo Cinema’. He had directed nearly 24 videos, music based, before he started his career in the TV and film industry. Some of the music videos directed by him include the superhit ‘Mera Laung Gawacha’ by Bally Sagoo, ‘Jaana’ by Kamaal Khan, ‘Tere Bin Jeena Nahin’ by Bali Brahmbhatt, ‘Jaane Kisne’ by Shiamak Davar, as well as the famous ‘Bole Humse Kuch Na Gori’ by Hema Sardesai. Kunal’s directorial debut was through the TV series, ‘Trikon’, starring Anil Dhawan. Later, he worked for Yash Raj Films. His first project with them was in 2002 for the film, ‘ Mujhse Dosti Karoge!’ starring the great actor/dancer of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, and the Bollywood beauties Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji. Next, he worked on the film, ‘ Hum Tum’, which was a Bollywood rom-com movie, starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. This film won a total of five Filmfare titles, and Kunal was given the award for ‘Best Director’.

Kunal’s next work was with the famous actress Kajol, and the Bollywood star Aamir Khan, in 2006, in the film, ‘Fanaa’, for which Kajol won the ‘Best Actress’ Filmfare Award. Subsequently, in 2008 he wrote, co-produced as well as directed the movie starring Rani Mukerji, ‘ Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’, and in 2010, produced the movie, ‘ Break Ke Baad’, starring Imran Khan and the big screen beauty, Deepika Padukone.

Kunal is also the proud owner of the production house, ‘Kunal Kohli Productions’. He did his acting debut in 2015 through the movie, ‘ Phir Se’, in the role opposite to Jennifer Winget. Kunal has also been part of the judging panel for the TV premiere on Star Plus, ‘ Nach Baliye’, which was telecasted in the year of 2005.

Kunal Deshmukh is a renowned Indian film director. He was born on March 4, 1982, in Mumbai, Maharashtra in India. His father works in the merchant navy, while his mother is a theatre and TV actress. He studied at Arya Vidya Mandir in Bandra, Mumbai and later attended Jai Hind, Church Gate. Kunal also attended H.R. College, where he took an advertising course. Later, he went to the US and had a diploma on filmmaking. While in the US, he toured the dining scene in NY and eventually led him to enter the hospitality industry. Subsequently, he met film director, Mohit Suri, who suggested working with him in his next film. He started out as an assistant director to Mohit in the Bollywood suspense thriller film, Zeher and the action thriller film, Kalyug, in 2005. The two also worked together in Who Lamhe in 2006. After this, he quit his job and focused on writing scripts. In 2008, he was debuted as a director in the crime romance film, Jannat, which was produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The film earned worldwide success and was received well by the critics and audience. In 2012, Kunal directed its sequel entitled Jannat 2, which received mixed reviews from the critics and turned semi-hit at the box office. In the same year, it was reported that he would be working on the third instalment of Jannat, but nothing has been confirmed so far. In 2009, Kunal helmed the Bollywood disaster film, Tum Mile, which was based on the infamous Mumbai Floods that happened in July 2005. However, the film flopped at the box office. He is also the director of the Hindi crime film, Raja Natwarlal, which was released on August 29, 2014. This film also flops at the box office. Besides working in the glamour world, he is also a restaurateur and owned a restaurant called Trikaya in Bavdhan, Pune. On December 7, 2015, he got married to his long-time partner, Sonali Rattan, who worked as his assistant director in Jannat 2. They have been living together for over a year before they finally settled down.

Sujay made debut as an actor from 2013's 'Satyanweshi' as Byomkesh Bakshi, a Bengali sleuth. Sujoy was also the part of 2014's 'Bang Bang' film featuring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. Sujoy also wrote and directed 2015 mystery film 'Ahalya' which showcases Indra Sen, A young police officer visiting the house of an aging artist Gautam Sadhu for investing a case of missing man Arjun. The story takes the tragic twist when the policeman finally finds himself cast in stone like other dolls kept on the same shelf.
