India is known for its movies. Bollywood is one thing that is a weekly thing for many people. There have been directors who got launched with loads of promise but soon tossed all our hopes by making horrible films. For example, VikasBahl pleased the public with QueenLet'sbut on the other hand with Shaandaar, we couldn't believe he was the same director. Similarly, Rahul Dholakia's Parzania made the critics to applaud the film but with Raees we couldn't find the same connection. Let's look at ten such directors who started out with a lot of commitments but after that, it couldn't live up to our expectations.
When he came up with Chandni Bar in 2001, the viewers and critics were totally bowled out by his talents. With Page 3 and Fashion, he became the director whose movies became a part of our to-watch film. But with Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji and Heroine, he again made us think about our choices.
His back to back hit films Lagaan, Swades, and
Jodhaa Akbar, Ashutosh made his stories a must-watch for the audience. But then the shocker came when What's Your Raashee? and MohenjoDaro released. The movies made us very sad as the director is said to lose his charm.
Kunal Kohli debuted as a director in the industry with
Hum Tum. But with ThodaPyaarThoda Magic and Teri Kahaani people have tended to forget him with time.
Farah was the queen of Bollywood with her films with SRK like
Om Shanti Om and
Main Hoon Na. Farah should now consider reviewing her director certificate. After Happy New Year and
Tees Maar Khan, we really feel the need to take this step.
R.Balki is the same director who created a sweet love story,
Cheeni Kum in the year 2007. He then came up with Paa which was a National Award Winning film. But his consequent movies like Ki & Ka and Shamitabh he failed to impress us in the same way.
The Dhoom series director, Sanjay gave us a series of action thriller which we love and enjoy. But, his last movie, AjabGazabb Love really made him look like a stereotypical filmmaker.
His latest flick Befikre may have given us a shocker. But one should not forget Aditya Chopra is the same director who gave us DDLJ the iconic love story.
He is the man behind Kal Ho Naa Ho. He was the only person who gave us high hopes for all his upcoming projects but with Chandni Chowk To China, D-Day, KattiBatti, and Hero he is out from our books.
Ram Gopal Varma
He started his career with huge hits in the form of Rangeela, Bhoot, and Satya to name a few. But, now RGV is a mere butt of jokes among the audience.
He started his career with Saathiya and took it forward with Bunty AurBabli but after seeing
Ok Jaanu and Kill Dill, one should really be beware before going for his movie screenings.
