Tyler Spiers

Tyler Spiers was born on 21st July 1980, in Woodbury, Connecticut, and grew up there. He has a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. When he was 12, he wrote his first screenplay called Kidnapped. He also performed in the Woodbury Middle School stage productions of The Curse of the Golden Monkey, Ducktales and Bobbysox, and Little Luncheonette of Terror.

After completing Middle School, he lost interest in acting and writing and instead, devoted himself to becoming an athlete. But after he graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he again resumed his writing and acting career and relocated to Hollywood, Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, he started studying at world-famous comic theatres, “The Groundlings” and UCB to enhance his proficiency in the comic genre. He participated in LA’s most prestigious film festival, Channel 101 where he created the award-winning high school comic series “Classroom” in 2006. The Classroom is the most popular and longest-running show of Channel 101producion, which ended with a legacy of thousands of happy audiences.

He created this show with co-author Mike Rose in 2007. He also played the character of Tom Cruise. The show was considered one of New York’s 20 funniest Web Videos of the year 2007. The show was awarded the “OMFG Internet”  2008 from the Logo Channel.
