Zuhal Olcay is a Turkish actress and singer who was born on August 10, 1957. She began her career as a theatre actor after graduating from Ankara State Conservatory in 1976. She began performing in films in 1983 and became well-known for films such as "Amansz Yol," "Kurşun Ata Ata Biter," "Bir Avuç Gökyüzü," "Halkal Köle," and "Dünden Sonra Yarndan nce." She started her great singing career in 1989. For allegedly insulting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan, she got sentenced to ten months in prison in 2018. According to reports, she changed the lyrics of the "Boş Vermişim Dünyay" (I Let Go of the World) song. The Istanbul Prosecutor's Office has filed a case against her, alleging that she insulted the president during a concert in 2016 and is seeking a four-year prison sentence. Olcay was fined $2,708 for disrespecting a public servant in 2010.
Her debut film was Sönmüş Ocak (1980), and she has subsequently been in a number of films including Genç ve Dul (1986), stek (1986), Gizli Yüz (1990), ki Kadn (1992), stanbul Kanatlarmn Altnda (1996), atsz Kadnlar (1999), Umut Yolcular (2010), ffet (2011), Yüksek Sosyete (2016).
