Angela Scanlon was born in Lattoth, County Meath, Ireland. Her father works in construction, and her mother works in management. She has three sisters. Angela went to school in Dunshaughlin, County Meath. She then went on to study Economics at TU Dublin. Before entering television, Angela worked as a stylist and journalist. She wrote articles in Tatler, Grazia, Company, U Magazine, and Sunday Times Style magazines. Angela also wrote the Out of the Box column for the Irish Independent weekend newspaper.
She shot a campaign for Louis Vuitton in 2013. After working on programs Xposé and Off the Road for RTÉ and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, Angela later joined RTÉ's The Movie Show as a presenter and in 2012 joined The Love Clinic. In 2013 and 2014, she appeared on The Saturday Night Show with host Brendan O'Connor. After that, she joined the Next News team in February 2014 and created Yahoo!'s 12-part Work View series showing how to create valuable content.Her first significant documentary was Oi Ginger! The show premiered in 2014.
Angela Scanlon: Full Frontal was her first film, released in October 2014, it dealt with topics that are sometimes considered taboo. She later appeared on Republic of Telly's Ginger is the New Black in October 2014. She also hosted the London Fashion Weekend for the third time in 2014. In 2017, she was appointed Garnier Ambassador alongside Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall. From 2018 to 2021, she presented herself on BBC Radio 2 on Sunday mornings from 4 am to 6 am. Angela continues to work on entertainment programs and will continue to achieve more fame in the future with her unique skill set.
