Arly Jover was born in Melilla, Spain. She is an extremely dextrous actress who has predominantly worked in Spanish and American TV industry. During her childhood, she, along with her family were forced to relocate to Mallorca, due to political reasons and that her father had been a soldier with conflicting ideologies with Melillan governments. She aspired to become a performance dance. At the age of 15, Arly received a scholarship from the Comité Hispano Norteamericano. A few years later, she decided to move to the United States of America and started looking for acting work.
She struggled for some 3 years and did many auditions and even starred in some local theatre plays. She then made her debut on TV with a role in an episode of the highly popular TV show Women: Stories of Passion and later she went on to star in two international films Tango, and The Ballad of Johnny-Jane. She started getting more work on TV, and after a few years of acting on the telly, she made her debut on the silver screen in 1998 with Blade, where she played the fierce character of Mercury, who is the love interest of the vampire Deacon Frost.
In the next years of her glittering career she starred in various small roles in films and TV episodes, as well as larger roles in other films such as Fish in a Barrel, and Vampires: Los Muertos. After 18 years in the United States, she then moved to France. As soon as she landed in the French capital, she started looking for work and bagged one of the lead roles in Empire of the Wolves in 2005.
