Ian Harding

Ian Harding is an American model and actor. He was born on September 16, 1986, in Heidelberg, Germany. Harding was brought up in a military family with strict rules and regulations which, as he says, made him very efficient and hardworking. Ian, after moving to Virginia with his family, completed his schooling from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Maryland. It was in his school years when Ian developed an ardent love for performing arts. He was the most active member of the drama society of Georgetown Preparatory School and got selected even to give the commencement address to the school. With the satiation of his passion to act in school, his love for acting grew stronger and led him to make a career in the acting industry.

Ian went on to pursue the Acting/Music Theater program at Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania. After completing the program, Ian made his debut as an actor with 2007 short film, "Groom with a view." Ian played the role of Teen Lincoln in the film. The role which changed Ian's life was that of Ezra Fitz in "Pretty Little Liars," (2010-2017). The show is a teen drama mystery thriller and is an adaptation of the novels of the same name written by Sara Shepard. In the show, Ian plays the role of an English teacher, and the love interest of Aria Montgomery, portrayed by Lucy Hale. Ian's role is one of the most controversial in the show due to his having an illicit relationship with his student.

When asked in an interview about his experience of working in the show, Ian confirmed that the show had been his life's biggest learning experience, and he has been able to make friends with people who are unique, hardworking, and talented. While portraying the role of Ezra, Ian also appeared in few short films, including, "Christmas Without You (2012)," "Minimum Wage (2015)," "Pale Blues (2016)," and "Office Uprising (2018)." Ian Harding even played a cameo role in the popular 2010 Romantic Comedy, titled, "Love and Other Drugs." Harding is an active member of the Lupus Foundation of America, an NGO working towards increasing awareness of Lupus. He takes an active interest in the workings of the NGO to support his mother who suffered from the problem most of her life. Thus, Ian Harding with his excellent acting skills and charm has become the heartthrob for the millennials. He is best appreciated for his portrayal of Ezra Fitz and has even won seven Teen Choice Awards for the same role.
