Art Parkinson is an actor from Ireland. He was born on 19 October 2001 at Moville (a village in Inishowen) in the north of County Donegal, Ulster in Ireland. Although he gained his education in Irish language, he has good knowledge of both English and the Irish. His mother’s name was Movania.
She was an actress. Art is the youngest of three brothers. Parkinson began to act when he was seven years old. He was not allowed to watch Game of Thrones due to R18 content, but his interest made him a part of this famous web series. Art is popular for his act as Rickon Stark in “Game of Thrones” (an HBO series), and role of Kubo in a film called Kubo and the Two Strings.
He started his acting career from a movie named “Freakdog.” The movies in which Parkinson has worked are “Freakdog (2008),” “Dark Touch (2013),” “The Anomaly (2013),” Shooting for Socrates (2014),” “Love, Rosie (2014),” “San Andreas (2015),” “Kubo and the Two Strings (2016),” “I Kill Giants (2017),” “Zoo (2017),” and “The Belly of the Whale (2018).” His television series is “Game of Thrones (2011-13; 2016)” and “The Bay (2019).” Art was nominated many times for his television series, Kubo and the Two Strings.
He won “Best Vocal Ensemble in a Feature Film” award by Behind Voice Actors Awards for TV series Kubo and the Two Strings in the year 2017. The honours for which Parkinson got nominated is listed as; Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated Feature Production (Annie Award- 2017), Best Vocal Ensemble in a Feature Film (Behind Voice Actors Awards- 2017), Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year (Behind Voice Actors Awards- 2017), Best Male Lead Vocal Performance in a Feature Film (Behind Voice Actors Awards- 2017), and Best Voice-Over Performance (Online Film & Television Association- 2017). Art Parkinson works in both Irish and British films.
