David Rasche was born on August 7 in 1944.He is a film, television and theatre actor of America. He is primarily known for his portrayal of the title character in series, Sledge Hammer. After this, he’s often seen playing characters: in good positions of authority, in serious as well as comical turns. His spouse is Heather Lupton; she made a guest appearance in the series Sledge Hammer as Hammer's ex-wife. They have three children. Rasche’s birthplace is St. Louis, Missouri.He was brought up in Illinois. Rasche and did graduation from the University of Chicago and even worked as a teacher and writer, also several years at Gustavus Adolphus College, Minnesota.

A member had replaced John Belushi because Belushi took off and did SNL in the 70s. In 1974: he invested $1,000 to help begin Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago. Rasche, best known for his portrayal of the title character in Sledge Hammer!: a satirical television sitcom (1986 to 1988).

The show, a spoof of police dramas and concerned the character Sledge Hammer, a violent & chauvinistic police inspector with a taste for large and powerful weaponry. His wife, Heather Lumpton, an actress had a guest appearance in "Sledgehammer" (1986), as the ex- wife of Mr. Hammer.
