Andre Dwayne Russell (born on April 29, 1988) is a Jamaican professional cricket player and all-rounder on the West Indies team. He has participated in over 300 Twenty20 games in many leagues worldwide. Russell hit a century in 40 balls in the 2018 Caribbean Premier League, recording a hat-trick in the same game.
On September 21, 2013, in a match against India A, Russell became the first bowler to take four wickets in consecutive balls in T20 cricket. Russell, a fast-bowling all-rounder, made his test cricket debut against Sri Lanka in November 2010. He made his debut at One Day International (ODI) in the 2011 Cricket World Cup match against Ireland in Mohali. After a weak home series against Pakistan, Russell made a name for himself in the ODI series against India. After dropping out of the first two ODIs, he scored 92 in the 3rd ODI. It should be noted that Russell came to the crease when WI was 96/7 and scored hugely. He was selected as the player of the match when he took 4/35 (8.3 over) in his fifth ODI at Sabina Park in Kingston against India.
ICC, Cricinfo, and Cricbuzz listed him in the Team of the Tournament for the 2016 T20 World Cup. He played in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In September 2021, Russell was in the squad in the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
