Sarjulan Vathussery

Sarjulan Vathussery is an Indian film Director and Scriptwriter. He has worked predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He is based in Kerala, India. He had done his schooling from Brahmanandodayam HSS Kalady. Sarjulan's film to hit the theatres in the year 2008 was SMS.SMS was directed and written by Sarjulan Vathussery. The film had Bala as Kichan, Navya Nair as the female lead, Kottayam Nazeer as Chacko, Anoop Chandran, Madhu Warrier, Salim Kumar as Sundaram, and Kulappulli Leela as Bhargavy Amma. The film also had actors Mukesh and Jayakrishna. It was produced by O.V.Prasannan.The music was by Ilaiyaraaja.

The cinematography was done by M.D. Sukumaran. The film was based on a campus investigation. Before this as well Sarjulan had written the screenplay and directed the film Madama in 1996.The story was by M.Mukundan It had Sreenivasan as Nanu, Archana as Matha, Jagathi Sreekumar as Janmi, Manmukoya as Vasu, Kuthiravattam Pappu as Politician, T.P. Madhavan as Electricity Board Engineer, and Kunchan as Pappan. The film also had Santha Devi and Kalabhavan Santosh. Suresh Parayli was the producer of the film. The music was by Ouseppachan. The cinematography was done by M.D. Sukumaran.

The film's editing was done by Venugopal. Sarjulan also had made significant contributions to the Malayalam television industry. The serial aired its first episode on 3rd December 2012 and went off the air in July 2014 with its 443rd episode. It had garnered very high TRPs during its running. The show was about two bold women, Kanchi Amma, who was the owner of a silk saree shop, and a poor girl named Tamara who is an adopted daughter of a saree seller. The serial became very popular among the Malayalee audience and also won a lot of awards.
